TESOL Application

Students who are interested in participating in the TESOL program must submit the TESOL Program Interest Form. Students may take TESOL coursework before being formally admitted to the program.

Program Interest Form

Submit the TESOL Program Interest Form

In the TESOL Program Interest Form, you will be asked to submit the following:

  • Contact information and academic history
  • Completion of a minimum of one of the following:
    • A college-level course in diversity or cultural studies
    • A college-level course in a world language
    • A college-level course in education
    • Proficiency in a language other than English
  • Statement of language learning experience
  • Statement of interest for participating in the TESOL certificate
  • For students who are not current/former Western Students:
    Unofficial transcripts and select coursework related to TESOL
    • Note: Unofficial transcripts can also be emailed to TESOL@wwu.edu after submitting the program application

Once we have received your interest form, we will send you registration information.
